Every month about 500 companies in the Netherlands go bankrupt. Where do their products go? In the past several months Amsterdam-based design Wunderkind Droog has been bidding on liquidation auction items ranging from handkerchiefs to dog baskets and have acquired 5135 items.
Stefano Serra, Operations Manager of Tecno, together with the designers Alessandro and Fabrizio Pierandrei and Stefano Anfossi, were recently guests at the ‘I Giovedì del Design’ (‘The Design Thursdays’) in Milan, Italy where they presented ‘Beta’, the new line of office furniture born from the combination of search for quality and innovation.
The ‘Beta’ system matches advanced technology with recyclable material (including packages) in a natural logic enabling the system to evolve in time.
For the Milan Design Week, Italian studio Carnovsky created a series of wallpapers that react to different colored lights.
The designs were created for the Milan shop of Janelli & Volpi, a noted Italian wallpaper brand. Each features overlapping illustrations, different elements of which are revealed depending on whether a blue, green or red light is shone upon them. Continue Reading →
