BD Barcelona will present Chandlo dressing table at Salone 2012. Designed as a special prototype for Das Haus, Chandlo is a sculptural juxtaposition of forms. The Dressing table is designed to be viewed from all sides and the seemingly abstract composition of the mirrors, cabinet and surface is based on the gestures and daily ritual of dressing up and grooming. ‘Chandlo’ meaning moon shape and also Bindi worn by Indian women, celebrates the enjoyment of getting dressed and the importance of personal grooming as part of our daily well being ritual.
For the Milan Design Week, Italian studio Carnovsky created a series of wallpapers that react to different colored lights.
The designs were created for the Milan shop of Janelli & Volpi, a noted Italian wallpaper brand. Each features overlapping illustrations, different elements of which are revealed depending on whether a blue, green or red light is shone upon them. Continue Reading →
